Learning by Doing

Founder of the Social Leather Social Craft Hub @LaFustella, I have turned creativity into a tool for inclusion, engaging more than 300 participants in training workshops and developing meaningful collaborations with non-profit organisations in Puglia and across Italy. My passion for craftsmanship was born during my years living in the Marche region and my participation in the “Antichi Mestieri” (Ancient Crafts) course. With a Professional Qualification as a Leather Artisanal Operator, I became a travelling craftswoman, bringing my unique handmade creations from Northern to Southern Italy.During the peak of the “Notti della Taranta” festival in Salento, my market stall was always present, while at the same time I was writing my degree thesis in the History of Psychology on hysteria and tarantism. In 2009, I chose to return to Puglia, rediscovering my land of origin.

Learning by Being

I began working as a Professional Educator in Puglia, supporting minors in vulnerable and disadvantaged situations. In this context, I came to understand that my Saper Fare (know-how) was not only a craft, but a bridge to connect with fragility and emotions, transforming hands-on work into a way of communicating with young people. In 2012, thanks to a partnership with the Juvenile Justice Centre of Bari, I carried out my first freelance assignment as a Career Guidance Counsellor.Today, I understand that Saper Essere (know-being) means building a pathway by balancing who we are, what we can do, and what we want to become.Since 2018, I have collaborated with Adecco Italia, supporting over 1,000 people with diverse backgrounds in their active job search. This included an extensive professional assignment delivered both online across the national territory and in person in Puglia. As a Mindfulness Facilitator, I am also active as a Social Psychologist in community development projects and in school-based listening and support services. In 2020, I volunteered in my hometown during the COVID-19 emergency, providing telephone-based psychological support to citizens.
